Regular Season Round 3: DVUFK - Dynamo-NPU 54-62

Very expected game in Dnepropetrovsk where DVUFK (0-5) was defeated by Dynamo-NPU (2-1) 62-54. The guests were already 17 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 20-11 DVUFK's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 62-54 at the end of the game. Dynamo-NPU dominated on the defensive end, holding DVUFK to just 7 points in second quarter. They outrebounded DVUFK 45-34 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for the former international guard Yuliya Lapshynova (177-81) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Nataliia Tsiubyk (178-98) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Dynamo-NPU players scored in double figures. Swingman Oksana Fastova (173-99) answered with 19 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Pasiko Gvichiani (171-0) added 8 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for DVUFK. DVUFK's coach Oleksandr Cherednichenko rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Dynamo-NPU will play against Tavriyska Zivka (#8) in Kherson in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. DVUFK will play at home against Interkhim and hopes to get finally their first victory.
