No shocking result in a game when Arkadia Lions (2-1) beat Vienna (0-3) in Wien 71-65 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 12 points at the halftime before their 30-10 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Arkadia Lions outrebounded Vienna 41-16 including a 28-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Montenegrin center Milovan Draskovic (211-95, agency: Interperformances) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Argentinian-Italian forward Fabricio Vay (207-86, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Four Arkadia Lions players scored in double figures. Serbian Predrag Miletic (193-84) came up with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and American point guard Anthony Clemmons (186-94, college: Iowa) added 24 points, 5 assists and 4 steals respectively for Vienna in the defeat. Arkadia Lions will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Vienna will play against Gmunden Swans (#1) in Gmunden and hopes to get finally their first victory.
