An interesting game was also tough home defeat of 5th ranked Bandirma Kir. in a game in Balikesir versus Gelisim (#7) 86-82. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Bandirma Kir.. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Bandirma Kir. won third quarter 23-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Gelisim won last quarter 24-22. Even a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds by Nigeria center Tonye Jekiri (213-94, college: Miami, FL) did not help to save the game for Bandirma Kir.. Point guard Emir Gokalp (185-95) added 23 points for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Gelisim (3-1) moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Bandirma Kir. dropped to the eighth position with two games lost. They share it with 4 other teams.
