Regular Season Round 3: Orduspor - Izmit 66-52

There was a surprise result when Orduspor (2-1) beat at home Izmit (2-1) 66-52 on Wednesday. Orduspor forced 21 Izmit turnovers. Strangely Izmit outrebounded Orduspor 53-39 including 19 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Doga Comba (185-94) who scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Tugce Kanat (173-85) chipped in 10 points and 5 assists. Four Orduspor players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Whitney Jones (183-87, college: Arkansas, agency: LBM Management) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and Gulizar Sezer (-78) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Izmit's coach tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Orduspor will meet Bornova on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Izmit will play against Istanbulgucu and hope to secure a win.
