The game in Lemvig was also quite interesting. Stevnsgade (1-2) played at the court of Lemvig (1-2). Lemvig defeated Stevnsgade 81-67 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 81-67. Lemvig dominated on the defensive end, holding Stevnsgade to just 6 points in third quarter. They outrebounded Stevnsgade 45-25 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American forward Erin McDonnell (185-93, college: Harvard) who led her team to a victory scoring 31 points and 8 rebounds. Hungarian forward Reka Fejes (186-87) helped adding 21 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was international forward Hanna Sheikh (180-92) with 26 points and 5 rebounds and forward Alberte Dokkedal (180-91) scored 15 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Lemvig will meet Horsholm on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Stevnsgade will play against SISU and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
