Regular Season Round 5: Dragons - Bayer Giants 92-87

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Dragons Rhoendorf and 6th ranked Bayer Giants had identical 2-2 record. This time Dragons Rhoendorf used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Leverkusen 92-87 on Saturday night. Dragons Rhoendorf made 42-of-55 free shots (76.4 percent) during the game, while Bayer Giants only scored twelve points from the stripe. Dragons Rhoendorf forced 23 Bayer Giants turnovers. Bayer Giants were plagued by 37 personal fouls down the stretch. Loser Bayer Giants dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Dragons Rhoendorf will face USC Leipzig (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bayer Giants will play against Wuerzburg (#11) and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the ProA just one year after relegation.
