Everything went according to plan when Pinar Karsiyaka (2-1) beat at home Trabzonspor (0-3) 74-59 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 15 points. Pinar Karsiyaka looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American-Albania point guard Kevin Dillard (183-89, college: Dayton) who scored 20 points and 8 assists. American power forward Josh Owens (206-88, college: Stanford) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four Trabzonspor players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pinar Karsiyaka will meet Fenerbahce (#4) in the next round. Trabzonspor will play against Darussafaka (#6) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
