Regular Season Round 5: CSU Sibiu - UBT Cluj Napoca 84-87

The most shocking disappointment of round 5 was only three-point a home defeat of 4th placed CSU Sibiu (2-2) to fifth ranked UBT Cluj Napoca (3-1) 87-84. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 27-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. UBT Cluj Napoca shot 61.1 percent from the field. American Kyndall Dykes (192-87, college: New Orleans) stepped up and scored 23 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners and Senegalese power forward Ousmane Barro (207-84, college: Marquette) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Dykes is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American guard Marcel Davis (188-94, college: Utah Valley) responded with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import power forward Chris Cooper (205-90, college: ODU) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. UBT Cluj Napoca moved-up to second place. CSU Sibiu at the other side dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with Craiova. UBT Cluj Napoca are looking forward to face Olimpic (#9) in Baia Mare in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CSU Sibiu will play on the road against CS Dinamo Bucuresti and is hoping to win this game.
