Regular Season Round 1: Botas - Hatay 76-57

Botas used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Hatay 76-57 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Botas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Hatay's 24. It was a very good performance for international center Tilbe Senyurek (190-95, agency: 1x1 Sports) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds. American point guard Natasha Lacy (178-85, college: UTEP) contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Marina Bas (-85) answered with 15 points and 6 rebounds and American center Courtney Paris (191-87, college: Oklahoma) added 9 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Hatay. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Botas will face Osmaniye (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Hatay will play against Yakin Dogu BGD and hope to win that game.
