Regular Season Round 9: Bipa Basket - Kremen 76-70

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Bipa Basket (3-5) beat bottom-ranked Kremen (1-7) in Odessa 76-70 on Friday. Kremen was trailing by 15 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 25-17 charge of Bipa Basket, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Kremen to just 4 points in first quarter. Bipa Basket made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. The former international point guard Klym Artamonov (185-93) nailed 15 points and 7 assists for the winning side and center Anatoly Chelovan (208-91) accounted for 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Bipa Basket players scored in double figures. Center Oleksandr Tyshchenko (206-89) came up with 30 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Rob Woodson (180, college: Grand Valley St.) added 7 points, 6 assists and 5 steals respectively for Kremen in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bipa Basket moved-up to seventh place. Kremen lost their seventh game in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with seven games lost. They share it with Avantazh-Polit.. Bipa Basket will meet at home Avantazh-Polit. (#10) in the next round. Kremen will play against the league's leader Khimik where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
