An interesting game was also tough road defeat of 4th ranked Cankaya in a game in Balikesir versus Edremit (#7) 82-78. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Cankaya. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Edremit forced 25 Cankaya turnovers. Canadian guard Nirra Fields (175-93, college: UCLA) nailed 29 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and forward Betul Pehlivan (178-88, agency: LBM Management) accounted for 20 points. American-Azerbaijani center Marcedes Marie Walker (191-86, college: Pittsburgh) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) and guard Ilknur Dumlu (176-89) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Cankaya in the defeat. Four Cankaya players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Edremit. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Bornova and Izmit. Cankaya at the other side dropped to the fifth position with one game lost. They share it with Bodrum. Edremit will meet league's leader Mersin Uni on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cankaya will play against Ferko Ilgaz (#11) and hope to secure a win.
