Regular Season Round 7: Langen - Lich II 51-58

There was a surprise result when eighth ranked Lich II (4-3) won against on the road 4th placed TV Langen (4-3) 58-51 on Saturday. The former international Johannes Lischka (203-87) fired 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Forward Henning Schaake (201-95) chipped in 15 points. Point guard Maxim Schneider (184-92) produced 12 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Preston Ross (198, college: Winston Salem) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Lich II. They moved-up to sixth place in South-West, which they share with Langen and Koblenz. Lich II will face Kaiserslautern (#11) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
