Regular Season Round 8: Telsiai - KTU 65-75

An interesting game took place in Telsiu where higher ranked Telsiai (5-3) was upset on its own court by eleventh ranked KTU (4-4) 75-65 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Telsiai. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 23-9 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Ignas Labutis (198-94) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Arturs Pelss (181-87) who added 13 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four KTU players scored in double figures. Gintautas Kybartas (201-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and forward Ovidijus Kaminskis (195-91) scored 11 points. KTU moved-up to seventh place. Loser Telsiai keeps the fourth position with three games lost. KTU will face Vytis (#13) in Sakiai in the next round where they are favorite. Telsiai will play at home against Zalgiris II (#9) and hope to win that game.
