Regular Season Round 7: Vechta II - BSW Sixers 69-85

There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Vechta-2 (0-3) was defeated at home by third ranked Sixers (3-1) 85-69 on Saturday. Czech center Jaroslav Tyrna (207-86, college: New Orleans, agency: Octagon Europe) fired 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Lithuania Eimantas Stankevicius (190-98, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 20 points. Five Sixers players scored in double figures. Philipp Herkenhoff (207-99) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and power forward Malte Giljan (205-95) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sixers moved-up to second place in North. Vechta-2 lost their third game in a row. They still close the standings with three games lost. Sixers will face Hannover Korb. (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vechta-2 will play against Rendsburg and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
