There was a minor upset when higher ranked Rosenheim (2-4) was defeated on the road by fourteenth ranked Herzogenaurach (2-4) 79-66 on Saturday. The game without a history. Herzogenaurach led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Point guard Nils Hassfurther (182-99) fired 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Austria swingman Michael Kaiser (195-82) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Herzogenaurach's coach Benedikt Aumeier used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Sebastian Ebertz (193-92) produced 16 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard Jguwon Hogges (173-86, college: Oregon Tech) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Rosenheim players scored in double figures. Herzogenaurach moved-up to ninth place in South-East, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Rosenheim. Herzogenaurach will face higher ranked Jena II (#8) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
