Another exciting game was between fifth ranked Salzkotten and 6th ranked Duesseldorf where Salzkotten (6-2) beat Duesseldorf (5-3) on the road 87-77. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Duesseldorf. They outrebounded Duesseldorf 41-24 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Bryce Leavitt (193-94, college: Seattle Pacific) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Rolf Gees (197-85) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Salzkotten's coach Stefan Schettke allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Lithuania forward Dainius Zvinklys (203-90) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and Lithuania swingman Paulius Kleiza (194-88) added 15 points in the effort for Duesseldorf. Four Duesseldorf players scored in double figures. Salzkotten have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to third place in West. Duesseldorf at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Schwelm and Dorsten. Salzkotten will play against Ibbenbueren (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Duesseldorf will play against the league's second-placed Muenster (#2) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
