The biggest surprise of round 4 was guest CAB Madeira's (3-1) easy road victory over Vitoria SC (#6) 93-76 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Vitoria SC. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 48-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. CAB Madeira made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. The former international swingman Fabio Lima (198-88) fired 26 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. International forward Stefan Djukic (202-89) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Djukic is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American guard Andrew Ferry (190-90, college: Cornell) produced 13 points and 5 rebounds and American-Nigeria guard Mezie Nwigwe (193-88, college: Robert Morris) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five CAB Madeira and four Vitoria SC players scored in double figures. Vitoria SC's coach Fernando Sa rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. CAB Madeira moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Vitoria SC at the other side keeps the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with Oliveirense. CAB Madeira is looking forward to face FC Porto Ferpinta (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
