Regular Season Round 6: Phoenix Galati - Steaua CSM 74-78

Liga Nationala top team - Steaua CSM (5-0) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat eighth ranked Phoenix Galati (1-3) 78-74. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-74. The best player for the winners was Serbian Nikola Jevtovic (208-89) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Lithuania guard Marius Runkauskas (189-86, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 19 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian swingman Milos Bojovic (198-81, agency: 011 Sports) who recorded 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Serbian power forward Milan Milovanovic (205-91, agency: 011 Sports) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Steaua CSM have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 5-0 record. Loser Phoenix Galati dropped to the ninth place with three games lost. Steaua CSM will meet at home league's second-placed UBT Cluj Napoca in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Phoenix Galati will play against BC Timisoara (#4) and hope to win that game.
