Regular Season Round 6: Leipzig - Dragons 71-68

USC Leipzig can celebrate finally their first win this season after five consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they edged much higher ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (3-3) 71-68. American forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: Cal Poly Pomona) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Sascha Leutloff (202-82) supported him with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four USC Leipzig players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 28 points and 21 rebounds by American forward Aaron Nelson (203-91, college: S.Indiana) did not help to save the game for Dragons Rhoendorf. Point guard Viktor Frankl-Maus (186-93) added 15 points. Dragons Rhoendorf's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. USC Leipzig (1-5) left bottom position moving up to eleventh place in South, which they share with Wuerzburg. Dragons Rhoendorf at the other side keeps the fifth position with three games lost. USC Leipzig's next round opponent will be higher ranked Bayer Giants (#6) in Leverkusen and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Dragons Rhoendorf will play on the road against Wuerzburg and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the ProA just one year after relegation.
