There was no surprise in Dresden where 14th ranked Titans (1-6) were defeated by ninth ranked White Wings (4-3) 89-79 on Sunday. White Wings outrebounded Titans 43-29 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Kruize Pinkins (201-93, college: USF) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Point guard Eugene Harris (185-86, college: High Point) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 assists. Five White Wings players scored in double figures. Point guard Randal Holt (185-91, college: Kent St., agency: Two Points) produced 23 points and 9 assists and power forward David Sturner (206-90, college: S.Oregon) added 8 points and 16 rebounds respectively for lost side. Titans' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. White Wings moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Titans keep the fourteenth position with six games lost. White Wings will face Gladiators (#8) in Trier in the next round. Titans will play on the road against Nuernberg (#13) in Nurnberg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
