There was no surprise when 11th ranked TH Wohnbau Angels (1-6) were defeated on the road by seventh ranked ChemCats Chemnitz (3-4) 83-72. The game was mostly controlled by ChemCats Chemnitz. TH Wohnbau Angels was better in third quarter 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ChemCats Chemnitz made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 TH Wohnbau Angels turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Maegan Conwright (173-92, college: Florida St.) who led the winners and scored 26 points and 5 steals. Her fellow American import forward Merritt Hempe (190-94, college: Georgia) accounted for 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Canadian forward Kim Pierre-Louis (183-93, college: Massachusetts) came up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and Canadian swingman Erin Chambers (185-93, college: Simon Fraser) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for TH Wohnbau Angels in the defeat. Four TH Wohnbau Angels players scored in double figures. ChemCats Chemnitz maintains seventh place with 3-4 record. TH Wohnbau Angels at the other side keep the eleventh position with six games lost. ChemCats Chemnitz's next round opponent will be Rotenburg/Scheessel (#10) on the road. TH Wohnbau Angels will play against Hannover and hope to win that game.
