Regular Season Round 4: Stevnsgade - SISU 65-51

Date: November 4, 2016
The most important game in the last round took place in Stevnsgade between third ranked SISU (2-2) and sixth ranked Stevnsgade (2-3) on Friday night. SISU was defeated by Stevnsgade on the road 51-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of SISU. The game was mostly controlled by Stevnsgade. SISU managed to win fourth quarter 13-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding SISU to just 6 points in third quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Alberte Dokkedal (180-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds (made all of her eight free throws). Forward Tea Jorgensen (178-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American guard Ciara Andrews (175-94, college: St.Joseph's) replied with 21 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Sille Balling (170-98) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for SISU. SISU's coach Morten Thomsen rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Stevnsgade moved-up to fifth place. SISU at the other side keeps the third position with two games lost. They share it with Amager. Stevnsgade will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. SISU will play on the road against the league's second-placed Horsholm and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
