Regular Season Round 7: BC Timisoara - Phoenix Galati 93-76

Very expected game when 9th ranked Phoenix Galati (1-4) lost on the road to fourth ranked BC Timisoara (4-3) 93-76. The game was mostly controlled by BC Timisoara. Phoenix Galati was better in fourth quarter 27-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Timisoara made 20-of-23 charity shots (87.0 percent) during the game. BC Timisoara outrebounded Phoenix Galati 40-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was a great evening for Serbian guard Mladen Jeremic (198-88, agency: 011 Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Cuba-American center Adrian Diaz (213-93, college: FIU) helped adding 16 points and 10 rebounds. BC Timisoara's coach Nenad Mandic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Serbian swingman Milos Bojovic (198-81, agency: 011 Sports) responded with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American point guard Jamel Waters (180-93, college: Alabama St.) scored 11 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BC Timisoara maintains fourth place with 4-3 record. Phoenix Galati lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with four games lost. BC Timisoara will play against higher ranked Oradea (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Phoenix Galati will have a break next round.
