No shocking result in a game when second ranked Galitos-Barreiro (4-1) beat at home 7th ranked Vitoria SC (2-3) 80-68. The game was mostly controlled by Galitos-Barreiro. Vitoria SC was better in third quarter 22-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Vitoria SC 27-13 including 20 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Galitos-Barreiro especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. The best player for the winners was Canadian point guard Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson (178-91) who scored 25 points. Vitoria SC's coach Fernando Sa rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Galitos-Barreiro. They maintain second place with 4-1 record behind leader Benfica. Vitoria SC at the other side keeps the seventh position with three games lost. Galitos-Barreiro's next round opponent will be FC Porto Ferpinta (#5) on the road. Vitoria SC will play against Oliveirense and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
