Very important is a road loss of third ranked BC Pharmaserv Marburg (5-3) against sixth ranked Herner TC (5-3) on Saturday night. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Herner TC moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Marburg. Herner TC will play against ChemCats Chemnitz (#8) on the road in the next round. BC Pharmaserv Marburg will play against the league's second-placed TV Saarlouis Royals (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
