Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (4-3) won against on the road 12th ranked Wuerzburg (1-6) 81-71. 30 personal fouls committed by Wuerzburg helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Aaron Nelson (203-91, college: S.Indiana) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds. Point guard Viktor Frankl-Maus (186-93) accounted for 23 points and 11 assists for the winning side. Dragons Rhoendorf's coach Matthias Sonnenschein allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Swingman Lukas Wank (198-97) came up with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Marcellus Barksdale (196-93, college: IUPUI) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Wuerzburg in the defeat.
