The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Sixers as it allowed them to take a leadership position in North. Sixers smashed bottom-ranked Hannover Korb. in Sandersdorf 96-68. They outrebounded Hannover Korb. 45-25 including a 32-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Hannover Korb. was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatia swingman Sandro Kordis (195-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Terrence Williams (198-93, college: Charlotte) who added 12 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. Lithuania guard Zygimantas Simonis (192-95) responded with 14 points and 7 rebounds and Dutch guard Stefan Topalovic (193-95) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Sixers and five Hannover Korb. players scored in double figures. Sixers have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Hannover Korb. at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. Hannover Korb. will play next round against Rendsburg trying to get back on the winning streak. Sixers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
