Regular Season Round 10: Ezerunas-Karys - Rasai 63-103

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Rasai (7-3) crushed bottom-ranked Ezerunas-Karys (1-9) in Moletai 103-63 on Saturday. The game without a history. Rasai led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 21 Ezerunas-Karys turnovers. Rasai looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a very good performance for Giedrius Stankevicius (205-96) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Andrius Aleksandrovas (198-86) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Rasai players scored in double figures. Center Pranas Skurdauskas (208-88, agency: Interperformances) replied with 14 points and 5 rebounds and forward Eimantas Narusis (200-86) added 10 points in the effort for Ezerunas-Karys. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rasai have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Ezerunas-Karys lost ninth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Rasai will face league's second-placed Nafta-Uni. in Klaipeda in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ezerunas-Karys will play at home against Silute (#4) and hope to win that game.
