Regular Season Round 7: Samsun - Istanbulspor 69-67

First defeat of Istanbulspor (6-1) against eighth ranked Samsun (4-3) 69-67 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Istanbulspor. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Jerry Smith (188-87, college: Louisville, agency: HMS) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Guinea-American forward Ousmane Drame (206-93, college: Quinnipiac) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American Brandon Brown (201-85, college: CS San Bernar.) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import guard Walter Lemon Jr. (190-92, college: Bradley) added 9 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Istanbulspor. Four Istanbulspor players scored in double figures. Istanbulspor's coach Hakan Yavuz tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Samsun moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Bursaspor. Istanbulspor at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still keeps top position with one game lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Sakarya BSB who have the same record. Istanbulspor will play next round against Bandirma Kir. trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Samsun will try to continue on its current victory against sixteenth ranked Final Genclik in Bursa.
