Very expected game in Lefkosa where Girne Univ. (0-3) was rolled over by Galatasaray (3-0) 88-68. Galatasaray players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Girne Univ.'s players. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Isil Alben (170-86, agency: 1x1 Sports) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. American point guard Moriah Jefferson (170-94, college: Connecticut) accounted for 13 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Four Galatasaray players scored in double figures. Bosnian-Slovenia power forward Marica Gajic (187-95) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and American guard Courtney Williams (173-94, college: S.Florida) added 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Girne Univ. in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Galatasaray's next round opponent will be Botas (#10) in Adana and are hoping to win another game.
