Regular Season Round 7: Turk Telekom - Eskisehir Basket 70-79

Another interesting game for Eskisehir Basket (6-1) which played in Ankara against 4th placed Turk Telekom (5-2). Fifth ranked Eskisehir Basket won 79-70. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Turk Telekom. It was a key game for the top position in the league. They outrebounded Turk Telekom 42-30 including 28 on the defensive glass. Eskisehir Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a great evening for American power forward Josh Duncan (203-86) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international swingman Evren Buker (195-85) helped adding 21 points and 4 assists. At the losing side American point guard Tywain McKee (188-86, college: Coppin St.) responded with 20 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and Ahmet Cantitiz (193-92) scored 19 points and 4 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Eskisehir Basket have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Istanbulspor and Sakarya BSB. Turk Telekom at the other side keeps the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with Afyon and Socar Petkim. Eskisehir Basket will play against Yalova Bld (#13) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Turk Telekom will play against Afyon Bld (#5) in Afyonkarahisar and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
