Regular Season Round 8: Weser Bsk/BTS - Cuxhaven 65-88

No shocking result in a game when third ranked RW Cuxhaven (3-1) crushed 9th ranked Weser Bsk/BTS (1-4) in Neustadt 88-65 on Saturday. RW Cuxhaven made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. American guard Dylan Travis (190-93, college: Florida Southern) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 6 rebounds. Croatia point guard Luka Petkovic (190-88) contributed with 17 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four RW Cuxhaven players scored in double figures. American center Edward Seward (206-78, college: Norfolk St.) replied with 15 points and forward Jonas Liermann (197-87) added 12 points in the effort for Weser Bsk/BTS. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. RW Cuxhaven have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position in North with 3-1 record having nine points less than leader Schwenningen. Weser Bsk/BTS lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth place with four games lost. RW Cuxhaven will have a break next round. Weser Bsk/BTS will play on the road against ALBA Berlin II (#5) and hope to win that game.
