The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Bayern Muenchen (6-1) in Bamberg on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by Brose Baskets (9-0) 90-59. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Bayern Muenchen. Brose Baskets had a 27-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Brose Baskets made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Italian Nicolo Melli (205-91) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 8 rebounds and French Fabien Causeur (195-87) who added 17 points during the contest. Five Brose Baskets players scored in double figures. American center Devin Booker (205-91, college: Clemson) responded with 15 points and international Maximilian Kleber (207-92) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Brose Baskets have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 9-0 record. Bayern Muenchen at the other side dropped to the fourth place with one game lost.
