Regular Season Round 9: Hamburg - Crailsheim 84-90

The game in Hamburg was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Crailsheim Merlins (7-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Hamburg (4-5). Crailsheim Merlins managed to secure a 6-point victory 90-84 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American point guard Christopher Dunn (189-83, college: W.Virginia St., agency: Inception Sports) who scored 22 points and 5 assists. Point guard Martin Bogdanov (183-92) chipped in 17 points. Four Crailsheim Merlins players scored in double figures. Crailsheim Merlins' coach Tuomas Iisalo used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard DeAndre Lansdowne (187-89, college: Fort Lewis) who recorded 22 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Anthony Canty (183-91, agency: Octagon Europe) added 20 points and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) respectively. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Crailsheim Merlins. They moved-up to third place. Hamburg at the other side dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. They share it with Uni Baskets. Crailsheim Merlins will meet at home Gladiators (#6) in the next round. Hamburg will play against the league's leader Kirchheim Knights and hope to secure a win.
