Very predictable result when sixth ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (6-4) defeated on the road 11th ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (3-5) 95-87 on Sunday. EnBW Ludwigsburg made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was international Johannes Thiemann (204-94) who scored 23 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). American point guard Wes Washpun (185-93, college: N.Iowa) chipped in 13 points and 8 assists. Five EnBW Ludwigsburg players scored in double figures. American swingman Quincy Diggs (198-90, college: Akron, agency: Mansfield and Associates) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and his fellow American import guard Karvel Anderson (188-91, college: Robert Morris) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. EnBW Ludwigsburg moved-up to fifth place. Loser Eisbaeren Bremerhaven keeps the eleventh position with five games lost. They share it with Wuerzburg. EnBW Ludwigsburg will meet at home ALBA Berlin (#8) in the next round.
