Rather expected game in Trier where 11th ranked Baunach (3-6) was crushed by ninth ranked Gladiators (5-4) 90-64 on Sunday. Gladiators made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. Gladiators outrebounded Baunach 41-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. Baunach was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American John Eggleston (203-88, college: Pennsylvania) stepped up and scored 27 points and 7 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winners and point guard Simon Schmitz (188-90) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists.
