Regular Season Round 9: Nuernberg - Hanau 66-70

Very predictable result in Nurnberg where sixth ranked White Wings (6-3) defeated 12th ranked Nuernberg (3-6) 70-66 on Sunday. American forward Kruize Pinkins (201-93, college: USF) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import point guard Eugene Harris (185-86, college: High Point) chipped in 22 points and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was guard Sebastian Schroeder (192-88) with 21 points and American forward Dan Oppland (203-84, college: Valparaiso) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for White Wings. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Heidelberg. Loser Nuernberg dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. White Wings will face Ehingen/Urspringschule (#14) in Allmendingen in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Nuernberg will play on the road against Chemnitz and hope to win that game.
