Regular Season Round 6: Fisica - Belenenses CF 72-65

There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Fisica (2-4) won against 6th ranked Belenenses CF (1-4) in Torres Vedras 72-65 on Saturday. Fisica forced 23 Belenenses CF turnovers. It was a good game for guard Miguel Salvador (187-81) who led his team to a victory with 25 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. Forward Frederico Tavares (194-88) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Fisica players scored in double figures. Forward Aylton Medeiros (194-88) replied with 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and swingman Ricardo Rosa (193-92) added 9 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Belenenses CF. Fisica moved-up to sixth place in Group South, which they share with Academia. Loser Belenenses CF dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. Fisica will face league's leader Barreirense in Barreiro in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Belenenses CF will play at home against the league's second-placed Estoril Basket (#2) and hope to win that game.
