Bottom-ranked Girne Univ. is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to fifth ranked Mersin BSB (3-1) 79-68 on Saturday evening. It was a very good performance for American swingman Marissa Coleman (185-87, college: Maryland) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Lithuania center Gintare Petronyte (196-89) contributed with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners. Mersin BSB's coach Ozlem Sencan used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Bosnian-Slovenia power forward Marica Gajic (187-95) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and the former international point guard Ozge Yavas (170-91) added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Girne Univ.Four Girne Univ. players scored in double figures. Mersin BSB moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Girne Univ. still closes the standings with four games lost.
