Regular Season Round 12: Delikatesas - Rasai 76-78

Thirteenth-ranked Delikatesas (3-9) made lots of trouble for second ranked Rasai (9-3) in Joniskis on Saturday. The visitors from Raseiniai managed to secure only two-point victory 78-76. However their fans expected much easier game. Delikatesas was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. The best player for the winners was forward Andrius Aleksandrovas (198-86) who scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Tomas Galeckas (183-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 assists. Four Rasai players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Darius Griskenas (194-84) who recorded 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Zilvinas Petraitis (194-88) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Rasai have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 9-3 record behind leader Suduva-Mantinga, which they share with Nafta-Uni. and Perlas-MRU. Delikatesas lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Petrochema. Rasai is looking forward to face KTU (#7) in Kaunas in the next round where they are favorite. Delikatesas will play on the road against Petrochema (#13) in Jonava and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
