Everything went according to plan when third ranked Elchingen (5-2) defeated at home 9th ranked Fraport Skyliners II (2-6) 82-73 on Saturday. Forward Adrian Didovic (205-94) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Brian Butler (196-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Isaac Bonga (203-99) replied with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Konstantin Schubert (197-98) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Fraport Skyliners II. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Elchingen maintains third position in South with 5-2 record behind leader Bochum. Fraport Skyliners II lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with six games lost. Elchingen will face Dragons Rhoendorf (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Fraport Skyliners II will play against USC Leipzig and hope to win that game.
