No shocking result in a game when third ranked Esgueira / Oli (4-2) crushed on the road 5th ranked Sangalhos (2-4) 67-40 on Saturday. Esgueira / Oli made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 28 Sangalhos turnovers. It was a good game for guard Samuel Loio (180-89) who led his team to a victory with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Power forward Bolon Sauane (193-94) contributed with 11 points and 5 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winners. Guard Andre Duarte (178-81) replied with 14 points and power forward Luis Fonte (195-79) added 5 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Sangalhos. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Esgueira / Oli maintains third position in Group North with 4-2 record having just one point less than leader Barreirense. Sangalhos lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with four games lost. Esgueira / Oli will face Academico FC (#6) in the next round. Sangalhos will play against Sanjoanense and hope to win that game.
