Regular Season Round 5: Horsholm - SISU 74-60

Very significant was Horsholm's (#2, 5-1) victory against 3rd placed SISU (2-3) 74-60. The game without a history. Horsholm led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Horsholm outrebounded SISU 40-24 including a 24-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Maryah Sydnor (185-93, college: Appalachian St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and Serbian forward Ivana Jovanovic (185-85) chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds. Horsholm's coach Jesper Krone Rasmussen used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Jazmine Redmon (173-91, college: Gonzaga) responded with 19 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard Ciara Andrews (175-94, college: St.Joseph's) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Horsholm have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 5-1 record having just one point less than leader Virum. SISU at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Stevnsgade. Horsholm are looking forward to face Amager (#3) in Kastrup in the next round, which may be the game of the day. SISU will play on the road against Lemvig and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
