DBBL top team - TSV 1880 Wasserburg (8-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed ninth ranked SV Halle Lions (2-6) 100-61. The game was mostly controlled by TSV 1880 Wasserburg. SV Halle Lions managed to win fourth quarter 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. TSV 1880 Wasserburg dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to SV Halle Lions' 30. TSV 1880 Wasserburg forced 23 SV Halle Lions turnovers. It was a great shooting night for TSV 1880 Wasserburg especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Bosnian guard Milica Deura (178-90, agency: Regeneracom Sports) who scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Defending champion maintains first place with 8-1 record. SV Halle Lions lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with six games lost. TSV 1880 Wasserburg will meet at home BC Pharmaserv Marburg (#4) in the next round. SV Halle Lions will play against Fireballs (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
