Regular Season Round 7: Jezica - Triglav 44-65

SKL top team - Triglav (7-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Jezica (2-4) in Ljubljana 65-44. The game was mostly controlled by Triglav. Jezica was better in second period 11-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Jezica's 24. Triglav forced 34 Jezica turnovers. It was a quality performance for guard Eva Prevodnik (166-99) who led the winners and scored 9 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. Sandra Jevtovic (187-93) accounted for 13 points for the winning side. Guard Sandra Bajrektarevic (168-90) came up with 16 points and 6 rebounds and center Dora Mlakar (182-96) added 2 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Jezica in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Triglav have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-0 record. Newly promoted Jezica dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Triglav will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Jezica will play at home against Konjice (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
