The game in Sakiai was also quite interesting. Third ranked Perlas-MRU (9-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Vytis (5-7). Perlas-MRU managed to secure a 8-point victory 80-72 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Vytis. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-15. But Vytis won third quarter 16-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Margiris Normantas (193-96) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and point guard Karolis Giedraitis (193-98) who added 12 points and 5 assists during the contest. Perlas-MRU's coach Arvydas Gronskis used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was guard Paulius Beliavicius (194-88) with 18 points and forward Marijus Uzupis (197-93) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Perlas-MRU moved-up to second place, which they share with Nafta-Uni. and Rasai. Loser Vytis dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with Palanga. Perlas-MRU will meet at home Nafta-Uni. (#4) in the next round. Vytis will play against Mazeikiai (#11) and hope to secure a win.
