Another exciting game was between eighth ranked ALBA Berlin and 5th ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg where ALBA Berlin (5-4) won against EnBW Ludwigsburg (6-5) on the road 79-73. ALBA Berlin made 21-of-26 charity shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Strangely EnBW Ludwigsburg outrebounded ALBA Berlin 45-28 including 19 on the offensive glass. EnBW Ludwigsburg was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for naturalized Turkish guard Engin Atsur (190-84, college: N.Carolina St., agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory with 16 points. International swingman Niels Giffey (200-91, college: Connecticut) contributed with 18 points for the winners. American power forward Jack Cooley (206-91, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import point guard Clifford Hammonds (191-85, college: Clemson) added 10 points and 5 assists in the effort for EnBW Ludwigsburg. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. EnBW Ludwigsburg's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. ALBA Berlin moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Telekom Bsk. EnBW Ludwigsburg at the other side keeps the fifth position with five games lost. ALBA Berlin will play against league's leader Brose Baskets in Bamberg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. EnBW Ludwigsburg will have a break next round.
