Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Eisvogel Freiburg and 9th ranked Fireballs had identical 2-6 record. This time Eisvogel Freiburg used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Bad Aibling 74-65 on Sunday night. Fireballs trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 19-16 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 65-74 at the end of the game. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. The best player for the winners was swingman Kristen McCarthy (182-90, college: Temple) who scored 16 points. Eisvogel Freiburg will meet bottom-ranked TH Wohnbau Angels (#12) in the next round. Fireballs will play against SV Halle Lions and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
