Another interesting game for Abdullah Gul (3-1) which played in Mersin against Adana ASKI (2-2). Fifth ranked Abdullah Gul had an easy win 66-47. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Adana ASKI. Abdullah Gul dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Adana ASKI's 26. Abdullah Gul forced 20 Adana ASKI turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized American LaToya Sanders (191-86, college: N.Carolina) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 9 rebounds and Montenegrin center Jelena Dubljevic (191-87, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who added 9 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American power forward Avery Warley (190-87, college: Liberty) responded with 4 points and 17 rebounds and Israeli-American forward Alysha Clark (178-87, college: Middle Tenn.St.) scored 5 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Abdullah Gul moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Adana ASKI at the other side dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. They share it with Osmaniye and Mersin MBK. Abdullah Gul will play against league's leader Fenerbahce in Istanbul in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Adana ASKI's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Mersin to the arena Mersin BSB.
