Very expected game in Istanbul where 8th ranked Demir IBB (3-3) was crushed by top-ranked Anadolu Efes (6-0) 98-74 on Sunday. Anadolu Efes dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Demir IBB's 38. Anadolu Efes forced 19 Demir IBB turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Demir IBB's players. Uruguayan-Italian guard Jayson Granger (189-89) scored 6 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international forward Cedi Osman (204-95) chipped in 17 points during the contest. Granger is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was American point guard Kenneth Hayes (188-87, college: Miami, OH, agency: BeoBasket) with 16 points and his fellow American import guard Osiris Eldridge (191-88, college: Illinois St.) scored 14 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Anadolu Efes have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record, which they share with Banvit BK. Loser Demir IBB keeps the eighth place with three games lost. Anadolu Efes will face league's second-placed Banvit in Balikesir in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Demir IBB will play at home against Fenerbahce (#4) and hope to win that game.
